Managing This Blog (part 2)

Managing This Blog ( Part 2 ) *Written by Dave Brummet, continued from November 20th) Like any business service, blogs have to be promoted if we hope to have a readership. As I write this, we are in the 10th month of publishing the Drum It With Brummet blog and the readership numbers are slowly crawling upwards. My wife and I have a long list of promotional activities that we are tackling whenever time allows.  I have personally been a part of a lot of music groups and bands, worked with theatre groups, am connected with numerous online groups and have made connections with individuals over my 40 years of working in the music industry. I plan to reach out to each of these to let them know about the blog and how it may be useful to them. This will also give me a reason to reach out to all these connections, making our relationships stronger. There are multitudes of ways we have already begun basic promotions for the blog. Starting with links to the blog on our main website ht...

Managing this blog (part 1)

Managing This Blog (Part 1)  *Written by Dave Brummet As business owners, we periodically take the time to evaluate our 5-yr business plan and based on our findings we then re-write a 1-year action plan. This action plan works like an organized guide that we can follow as we work toward business activities and project development.  I open with this statement, because it was this plan that brought us closer to expanding the reach of our Angle Hill Studio services while striving toward o ur future goal, which is to open an e-store for the percussion accessories that I invented. Starting the Drum It With Brummet blog back in January 2021, was one of the tools we are using to achieve more exposure and to create a networking hub with other musicians, and to offer support to those working in the music industry. In particular we encourage my students to visit the blog, as there is a lot of helpful information there for them to browse.  My wife and I have are not new to the wor...

The Drum It With Brummet blog

About this Blog... After 10 months of managing this blog, we are ready to expand our readership and create new networking connections.  The Drum It With Brummet blog was created specifically for musicians, with a heavy slant toward drummers and percussionists. We do accept queries for blog submissions. As you can see from the archived posts - this blog offers quotes, helpful articles, interviews, product reviews, amusing stories, memes and whatever else we feel will interest our readers. Music is a true passion for Dave  Brummet; drummer and percussionist.  He brings a wide variety of experience and shares this knowledge by teaching others, writing articles and helping to manage this blog (along with his wife, Lillian).  Angle Hill Studio is run through the lower half of their home where Dave teaches  private lessons and group workshops.  As a drum doctor, Dave offers repairs, tuning and customizing for most any drum or percussion instrument. music resources

It is time for another batch of resources that we hope you have time to check out. These two resources are for the musicians and those who appreciate musicians, bands, entertainers in general: GigSalad  offers a one-stop website to find and book everything from bands, musicians, and DJs to entertainers, speakers, and event services. Entertainers would be wise to consider listing their services, and those who are setting up an event of any kind can find professional performers for hire across the U.S. and Canada. Info:  https://www.gigsalad.com/   For something a little different to enjoy, here is a video of Micky Hart (formally of Grateful Dead) and a wide array of talented performers living it up on stage :) https://youtu.be/iJpRqVDFSjs ~~   Visit the Brummet's @:  http://BrummetMedia.ca   ~~

inspiring quote

-- Quote of the Day --  “ The first thing that we realize when we choose to push play on recorded  music is that we are actually matching our current state …and when you  do that you become subconsciously instinctive about the music you listen  to; because it feels good, you become phase-locked to that music.  …So  listen to the music that makes you feel sated, but once you’ve satiated  that mood than you shift the music that will soothe you. …At work you  need to choose music to empower everyone and for health. …Music  therapy is able to promote wellness, manage stress, alleviate pain,  express feelings, enhance memory, improve communication and promote  physical rehabilitation.  ” ~ Judith Pinkerton ~~   http://BrummetMedia.ca ~~
