What A Musical Journey

What A Musical Journey  This video is one of our favourites... we must have watched it a half-dozen times and I see no reason why we wouldn't do many more than that as time flows forward.  Check out the seductive, transportive, ethnic music of the Hadouk Trio   Perfect for background music while visiting or dining, but fascinating to watch as well. These three accomplished and polished musicians fit perfectly together, you can feel the comfort and respect they have for one another.  Watch them do unusual things with common instrument such as cymbals played with a bow and spinning tops on drums to create sound effects.  You'll also witness several guests come up and totally add to this great performance.  This is a band that focuses on visually demonstrating fascinating percussion. They combine different styles and a wide array of instruments to create a totally unique musical journey.  Here you'll see Loy Ehrlich on the Kora, Keyboards, Gumbass and Hajoui Bass Then there&#

Musician Resources

Kootenay / Boundary Musician Resources The Kootenay & Boundary regions are filled with artists of all kinds including of course, musicians of all shapes and sizes playing noise makers of every kind you could imagine. :) If you don't reside or vacation here, don't worry you can still use these resources to network. Many of the small and medium sized cities or communities are spread quite far apart and so, especially if you are new to the area, it can seem difficult to find others to network with.  Therefore we are doing a series of blog posts offering some online networking resources for you to check out. Some of these will be buy/sell related, but this will also give you insight as to instruments available and the people selling them. Happy Customer

"A friend and I attended a group hand drum workshop a few years ago and had so much fun that we started weekly lessons with Dave. His studio is full of drums and he encourages students to try them all.  He is good at assessing skill levels and accommodating individual students within the lesson to keep each one learning and interested.   He and his wife and business partner Lillian generously sourced a beautiful and very reasonably priced set of Congas for me.  I now enjoy lessons with Congas, bongos and djembe. In addition to being a super talented drummer, Dave is also a skilled and reasonably priced drum doctor.  I have had him tighten my djembes and put new heads on my bongos. He was fast and the bongos sound amazing.  Our little town has so much musical talent and Angle Hill Studio fits right in". ~ Janice Spetifore ~~~   Find us online via:  https://taplink.cc/brummet  ~~~

Answering Your Q's

Answering Your Q's Q: Hey Dave... What is your marketing and communications experience within the music industry?  A: My music-related marketing experience started in the mid 80’s as a member of a working  "Top 40" cover band, when it was easy to find gigs. This was before the Internet brought us social networking and social media platforms, and so the band members did most marketing. I have always been the guy in the band that took on the role of marketing.  Back in the mid 80’s there was limited resources for us as self-promoters and most of it was hands-on or direct marketing.  This meant dividing up the task of visiting local stores and putting up posters, giving out t-shirts, distributing business cards, making phone calls, mailing out demo's, building word-of-mouth, attaining media coverage, getting radio attention... and just getting ourselves out there to establishing a presence.  By a presence I mean playing in many different cities and building a fan

A Little YouTube

A Little YouTube Dave Brummet  created this beautiful 34 second video trailer for our cookbook,  From One Small Garden - Over 300 Delicious Nutritious Recipes , recently... and I am so proud of what he created.  * He has, in fact, created 3 different trailers for this book - this one focuses on the fact that what we choose to consume has a direct impact on poverty, local economy, the purity of our water, the health of our land, small business and our own well being. Our diet can have a positive impact on the world! I totally love what Dave created & I hope you like it too !  https://youtu.be/dS35enClPRA ~~~   Discover the Brummet's Books on Amazon :  https://amazon.com/author/lillianbrummet - or -   Find them online via:  https://taplink.cc/brummet  https://linktr.ee/LillianBrummet
