What A Musical Journey

 What A Musical Journey

This video is one of our favourites... we must have watched it a half-dozen times and I see no reason why we wouldn't do many more than that as time flows forward.

Check out the seductive, transportive, ethnic music of the Hadouk Trio Perfect for background music while visiting or dining, but fascinating to watch as well.

These three accomplished and polished musicians fit perfectly together, you can feel the comfort and respect they have for one another. Watch them do unusual things with common instrument such as cymbals played with a bow and spinning tops on drums to create sound effects. You'll also witness several guests come up and totally add to this great performance.

This is a band that focuses on visually demonstrating fascinating percussion. They combine different styles and a wide array of instruments to create a totally unique musical journey.

Here you'll see Loy Ehrlich on the Kora, Keyboards, Gumbass and Hajoui Bass
Then there's Steve Shehan with one of the most unusual "drum kits" I've seen, with the djembe where the base drum is usually and a shakere (instead of high hat).
You'll see Steve play congas, goblet drum (aka derbouka), shakers, calebasse, waterphone, electronic drums and more! The final member of this trio is Didier Malherbe who specializes in duduk, flute, khene, toupies, and ocarina.
