As a drummer, sustainable entrepreneur and instrument inventor, I am forever finding uses for items often thrown away. 

Hardware and stands:

• Keep everything! Spare parts can go a long way when fixing or customizing drum kits and percussion rigs.
  
  
• Be the guy that supplies spare parts to drummers in need. I am considered the local drum doctor and often help my students out with fixing their kits.
  
  
• Organize your collection of parts and pieces by storing them in clear containers (like clean peanut butter jars) so things can be readily found when needed.
