Drum carpets
There are a lot of drummers who battle the creeps. Bass drum creeping out on every thump, hi-hat stand is a similar issue - always needing herding back to its spot. Some use straps attached to their throne to tether the creeping things but this is not the answer.
Simple fix: a drum rug. There are many available online that are just as good and come in different dimensions for your size.
I buy mine from the hardware store (Home Hardware $85) in dimensions of 48" x 72" and it has lasted for over 20 years with little signs of wear. Made for outdoor entrances, they are rubber backed and very tough. Also they are very easy to clean either with a carpet shampooer, garden hose or pressure washer. Once I sprayed, soaped and scrubbed mine off at a carwash on the way home from a particular beer spilled night! Just make sure to leave it unrolled for a few days to dry out.
I mark my rack and pedal positions with black Gorilla brand duct tape, as it is very thick and lasts a long time even with rolling up to store/transport. The black color is for stealth - only I really see the markings when setting up. For my double kick slave pedal to stay in place I taped two #8 finish washers (see image) in place for the pedal's spikes to fit into, never again to creep away from my foot! The carpet's pile is thick enough that Velcro-type fasteners work very well and survive the roll ups for transport.
